EVENT INFORMATION

The 1st annual event run and walk is in memory of Nicki Williams who lost her courage battle with kidney cancer this past summer. Miles That Matter is launching this new initiative in Nicki’s name. As a founding member of Miles That Matter, she found great joy in the countless miles of walking with wonderful friends and raising money for people in need.

This project will benefit women who cannot afford the early detection, testing and treatments that could help save their lives.

This debut fundraiser will be a 5K run or walk & family festival in conjunction with Miami Valley Hospital South.

In Nicki’s honor, each participant will receive a fashionable boa, a look she wore so well!

COURSE

The 5K event will begin at the Miami Valley Hospital South in Dayton, Ohio.

RESTRICTIONS

For safety reasons, in-line skates, ipods, skateboards and dogs will be prohibited from the race course.

START TIME

9:30 a.m.      Kid’s 1 Mile Fun Run
10:00 a.m.    Women’s 5K run/walk
10:10 a.m.    Men’s 5K run/walk

FLUID STATIONS

There will be one fluid station on the course.

PACKET PICK-UP

Participants may pick up race packets and register for the races at the Up and Running, 6123 Far Hills Ave., Dayton, OH 45459 on Thursday, September 29th from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

RACE DAY PACKET PICK-UP

Participants may pick up packets for the race on race day near the start line beginning at 8:30 a.m.

RACE DAY REGISTRATION

Race day registration begins at 8:30 a.m. near the start line in the parking lot of the Miami Valley Hospital on race day.
